Its been a long time since I wrote about Joey.
I've been meaning to write about what's up with him since last year and now finally I am here..
So I guess this is like Joey's side of the Year that was... hehehhe
Joey is very talkative now. He always calls your attention and tries to make conversation.. But sometimes he can't seem to get the words out, so he gets frustrated and cries. When he calls me he goes... Mommy... Mommy... Mommy? Mommy?? Mommy?! And if I'm really busy, he goes from Mommy! to Lolo... Lolo.... hehehehe..
He has also learned a lot of words now.. So I'm very careful with who he goes with cause he will definitely pick up their words and expressions... Like, "ok lang.. ok lang!" (from my mom).. "friend ko (from our waiter allan).. "buy tayo chuckie" (from my dad!)
Yes his recent addictions are .. Chuckie... Peanut... Donut pa... and when he asks me to buy something, he says it in that order "Chuckie.. peanut.. donut pa!" hahaha
He knows how to PRAY before meals already! :) And ever since he has learned how to pray he calls our attention if we forget to pray and say .. "Di pa tayo pray!" Then he goes.. "Lord, Thank you for this food. In jesus name we pray, Amen." :)
He also knows how to PRAY before sleeping. His prayer goes like this.. "Lord, Thank you for another day. Please take care of joey as he goes to sleep. Please also take care of Mommy, Lolo, Lola, Tita, Ninong..." then he makes up his list saying anyone he remembers... "driver, guard, tao, ate minda, kuya joel, ate lyn, kuya roque, kuya john, etc..." then he goes, "sino pa?" hehehe...
"In Jesus name we pray, Amen"
He also learned how to sing AMAZING GRACE! hehehe... Cause I sing it to him every night. :p
And when I don't sing, he goes, mommy sing... Sometimes almost like a command rather than a request.. haha..
He is also recently addicted to Superman, Batman and Dinosaurs.

The Year that Was
It's now 2008. Happy new year!!
I read in yevka's blog the highlights of her 2007.
So i thought of doing the same thing. :)
So here goes my Top 5... (not necessarily in order)
1. Thailand Trip.. went to Thailand, got lost, went shopping ,went to the beach, went shopping, went shopping... hehehehe... Sarap pala mag shopping pag dami ka hawak pera.. hehe.. first time ko lang yun... But then again, I was shopping for catering equipment for the business.. hehehe... pero shopping pa din yun! haha!
2. The deep end of my emotional roller coaster... went through one of the lowest moments of my life alone.. and got through it successfully after 5 months..
3. My wedding of the year: Karen and Don's Wedding... The most grand yet very simple wedding ever. Grand because it was a whole day wedding... Simple because they are one of the simplest and most kind people I've met.
4. Discovering The Purpose Driven Life Book... and Group! hehehe.... This one deserves the top 1 billing... It's been amazing, enlightening and life changing!! Looking forward to more enriching experiences with the group in 2008.
5. Literally SLEPT through Christmas and New Year's Eve... hahaha... Now I understand why my mom and dad would be found sleeping on Christmas and New Year while we kids would prepare for the Dinner and we would just wake them up when its almost 12 midnight.. hehehehe... But this time since all of us were sleeping, nobody woke up during the count down... I think it was the best sleep ever!!! after sleepless nights of catering events one after the other...
God has truly blessed me this year.
Inspite and despite of all my faults and shortcomings.
He has come through in my life with LOVE... LOTS OF IT!!! and MERCY and GRACE :)
So ultimately I give back all THANKS to God for the year that was.
